What is Made In Charlottesville?
Made In Charlottesville is a promotional campaign to showcase the unique businesses whose talents contribute to the dynamic City business community.
These efforts are supported by the City of Charlottesville's Office of Economic Development.
So...are Made In Charlottesville and Made In C-ville the same thing?
No. While there is understandable confusion since Charlottesville and C-ville are used interchangeably, Made In Charlottesville is a local branding campaign, created in the winter of 2016, and supported by the City of Charlottesville. It is an avenue for the Office of Economic Development (OED) to connect with City-based businesses and create a network for business owners to share learning opportunities and explore possible collaborations. It also allows for OED to share the resources and programs aimed to help grow and retain businesses in the City of Charlottesville - hiring incentives, micro grants, workforce training and on-the-job training for new employees.
Made In C-ville is run by C-ville Weekly and was a contest held in the fall of 2017.
