Pasta Valente was founded over 30 years ago by my mom Fran Valente. She makes pasta the same as my grandmother made it. And that is how we began as a company. She made pasta for family and friends. Then she took it to the Charlottesville Farmer's Market. It grew in popularity. Today our pasta can be found in grocery stores, specialty stores across the country. Our pasta is rolled, cut, air dried and hand-packed. We have an egg-free, soy-free, peanut and tree nut- free, dairy-free facility. We use locally grown wheat and Non GMO ingredients. All of our pastas cook in 3-5 minutes in boiling water. Buon Appetito!

Are you kidding? Charlottesville is the birthplace of pasta in the New World. In February 1789 Thomas Jefferson arranged to have a pasta machine purchased and shipped to Monticello. So there you have it, we are continuing a very long tradition.
